Warranty
1. Our Commitment
We take pride in the craftsmanship of our jewellery. Megelea SA warrants that our pieces are free from manufacturing defects for two (2) years from the date of delivery. This warranty is offered to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
2. What Is Covered
- Manufacturing defects such as loose or missing small diamonds or stones, defective prongs, or faulty clasps.
- Defects in material or workmanship that become apparent with normal use.
If we determine that a piece is defective under normal use, we will repair the defect or, if repair is not possible, replace the item with an identical or comparable piece at no cost. If neither repair nor replacement is possible, we may offer a refund up to the amount originally paid.
3. What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, bent or misshapen bands, cracks in gemstones and changes in metal finish.
- Loss, theft or mysterious disappearance of any part of the piece.
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, improper storage or lack of care.
- Damage resulting from repairs, resizing or modifications by anyone other than Megelea SA or an authorised jeweller.
- Engravings or customisation performed after purchase.
- Natural variations in gemstones and precious metals.
This warranty is not an insurance policy; we recommend obtaining separate jewellery insurance to cover loss and theft.
4. How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect:
- Contact us at info@maramegelea.com with your order number, photographs of the defect and a description of the issue.
- We will respond with instructions on returning the item for inspection. You are responsible for shipping the item to us using insured, traceable delivery.
- After inspection, we will inform you if the claim is approved. Approved claims will be repaired or replaced at our expense and returned to you free of charge.
5. Limitation of Warranty
Except as expressly stated, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price paid for the item and does not cover incidental or consequential damages.
6. Statutory Rights
This warranty does not affect any rights you may have under Swiss law, which provides a two‑year statutory warranty for defective goods, or under any mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
