Ring Size Guide

Finding your perfect ring size is essential for comfort and security. Follow our expert guidance to ensure your ring fits beautifully.

How to Measure Your Finger

  • Measure at normal body temperature - Fingers shrink in the cold and expand in the heat.
  • Avoid measuring when hot - Cooler temperatures give more accurate results.
  • Measure multiple times - If you're between sizes, measure twice and choose a size in between for the best fit.
  • Consider the band width - Wider bands fit more snugly, so you may need a half size larger.
  • Measure the correct finger - Your ring finger on your left and right hands may be different sizes.
  • Measure at the end of the day - Fingers are typically slightly larger in the evening.

Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring

Use a ruler to measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits well on the same finger. Compare the measurement to a ring size chart to determine your size.

Steps:

  1. Place an existing ring on a flat surface
  2. Measure the inside diameter in millimeters (edge to edge)
  3. Compare to the size chart below
  4. If between sizes, round up for comfort

Method 2: Measure Your Finger with String or Paper

What you'll need: A strip of paper or string, a pen, and a ruler

Steps:

  1. Wrap the paper or string around the base of your ring finger
  2. Mark where the paper or string overlaps
  3. Measure the length in millimeters
  4. Divide by 3.14 to get the diameter
  5. Compare to the size chart below

Important: Make sure the paper or string slides over your knuckle comfortably. If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, you may need to size up.

Between Sizes?

We recommend ordering the larger size if you're between sizes. It's easier to resize down than up, and ensures comfortable wear.

When to size up:

  • Wide bands (4mm or wider)
  • Rings with stones set all around (eternity bands)
  • If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger
  • Hot climates or summer wear

When to size down:

  • Very thin bands (under 2mm)
  • Cold climates or winter wear
  • If you have small knuckles

Common Sizing Mistakes to Avoid

  • Measuring when cold - Your fingers shrink in cold weather
  • Measuring after exercise - Fingers swell during and after physical activity
  • Using a ring from a different finger - Each finger is a different size
  • Not accounting for knuckle size - The ring must slide over your knuckle comfortably
  • Ignoring band width - Wider bands need a larger size

Special Considerations

Engagement Rings & Wedding Bands: If you plan to wear your engagement ring and wedding band together, consider how they'll stack. Some couples prefer to size the wedding band slightly larger for comfort.

Eternity Rings: Because stones are set all around the band, eternity rings cannot be resized. It's essential to get the size right the first time.

Knuckle Sizing: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, we can create a custom fit or recommend sizing solutions. Contact us for personalized guidance.
